Ace Auto Repair & Tire's staff has combined experience of over 100 years in the auto repair and tire business. Our sales associates have actually worked as technicians and are familiar with all components and workings of your vehicle.
Ace Auto Repair & Tire employs ASE certified technicians. We employ technicians licensed by the state of California to perform smog, brake, and lamp inspections. All service personnel have been trained to perform almost any repair or maintenance to your vehicle.
George has been working on cars since high school auto shop in 1975. He purchased his own shop with a gas station in San Ramon in 1985. Away from work, George enjoys day hikes, beekeeping, gardening, barbecuing and smoking everything from pork roasts and salmon to spicy almonds and jerky making. Married to Vicki, with 3 kids, Ashley in Phoenix, Jenn in Walnut Creek, and Jeff in San Diego.
Danny is a Service Advisor at ACE, and is one of the first faces you will see when you visit the shop. Danny has been with ACE since February 2012, but has been working in the automotive field in 1983. When Danny isn't at the desk, he enjoys working on custom lift and lowering kits, and wheel and tire packages. When he's not working, Danny spends his time in woodworking, barbecuing, and brewing beer! He has been married to his wife for 25 years, and has a son in the Marines and a daughter in college.
Dan started working at ACE in the summer of 2002, but has been working at the same location since 1997. He has been working in the automotive field since 1993. He had his first job soon after graduating high school doing general maintenance on vehicles, while simultaneously attending automotive trade school. Dan’s passion for cars began as a young boy—his grandfather was a mechanic and his father worked on cars in his spare time. This had a big influence on his decision to become a technician. Diagnostic work is Dan’s specialty; he loves the challenge! He’s passionate about anything automotive-related, and likes working on all types of vehicles. He takes pride in his work, and always goes the extra mile to make sure it’s right. Dan is eager to learn and keep up with new technology. Dan is ASE Master Certified and holds the L1 ASE and smog license. Outside of ACE, Dan enjoys cycling, hiking, and spending time with his family.
ACE added Carlos to the team in early 2014. Carlos completed his apprenticeship program in the 90’s working for the Ford Motor Company during the day, and taking classes at Skyline and Chabot College at night. Carlos is ASE Master Certified with advanced diagnostics and hybrid endorsement. He is a licensed smog technician. Carlos enjoys working on all makes of vehicles, and sees it as a challenge—like solving a puzzle (some makes/models give you more clues than others!). Time commitments outside of work go to family, church, and the home. When he has time, Carlos competes in gun competitions with friends, and he also likes to hike to stay in shape. Education is highly valued in Carlos’ family—his wife is a superintendent in Oakland while working toward her doctoral degree. Carlos’ eldest daughter is a senior at Wellesley College in Boston, and his youngest daughter is a senior in high school.
Michael has been with us at ACE since 2005. He entered the automotive industry in 2000 as a tire tech for a well-known tire company. At ACE, he focuses on your brakes, steering and suspension, and alignment. In his personal life, Mike has 3 siblings, all of them married with kids—which makes him the greatest uncle in the world! His hobbies are cooking (breakfast!), barbecuing, and watching sports. Add friends and family, and you have Mike’s recipe for life!
Landon is also an original technician at the current ACE location. He has been at ACE since its establishment in 2002, but has been an Auto Technician since 1997. He holds multiple certificates including A/C repair, transmission and drive terrain, brake, steering and suspension. He enjoys working on classic cars, custom fabrication, lowering and lifting vehicles, engine repair, transmission and differential rebuilding…the list goes on and on! There is nothing about working on cars that Landon doesn’t enjoy doing. Away from ACE, Landon likes to spend time with family and friends. He likes to camp, wake surf, ride dirt bikes, snowboard, and travel. He has been married to 5 years and is a proud father of 2 wonderful children.
